Artist Statement

Rob Silveira

I don't think of myself as an artist as much as a technician. I want to capture the beauty I see and the moments I experience. I want to show you the world through my lens and make you feel something. What that is...well, that's up to you.

I strive to place you in the sporting event or to give you court-side seats. To freeze the moment when the ball hits the bat or to capture the the nervous excitement at a championship game. To express the desire to win and the agony of defeat. I believe in the beauty of sport as an art form.

The camera allows me to bring everyone to whatever event I am trying to capture. I can capture individual memories, team accomplishments, school spirit, and make each individual feel unique and cared for. My photos can renew a love of the sport or catch the special moments in your life.

That's what I see and feel. I can only hope others can see it too.
